ANZAC Day March 25 April 2019

​Our school has nominated to be a part of the Redlands RSL ANZAC Day Parade on Thursday, 25 April 2019. The legend of our ANZAC’S has become a symbol of what we, as Australians, value. We look forward to being part of this important parade as we remember and pay tribute to the servicemen and women who sacrificed so much for our freedom and way of life in Australia that is treasured by us all.

Details of the parade are included below:

  • ​Assembly point: Students will marshal at the Cleveland Bowls Club car park at 9.45am with SOTS staff, including Mrs Tomerini-Smith and Mrs Gibbs. Students will march along Shore Street West towards ANZAC Centenary Park.
  • Uniform: Formal uniform and school hat
  • Water bottle: Students may choose to bring a water bottle for after the parade
  • Morning Service outlined by Redlands RSL:
    • 09.45am Main parade marshals west of Cleveland Bowls Club on Shore Street West
    • 10.00am Parade briefed
    • 10.20am Main parade departs from Cleveland Bowls Club to new Anzac Centenary Park
    • 11.00am Morning Service commences
    • 11.45am Morning Service conclude
  • Schools have been limited to a maximum of 15 participants from each community.
  • The Redlands RSL has advised that this is due to the increasing number of people wanting to participate in the march and enables a safe and manageable parade.
