We welcomed Anne McKenny and Trevor Doyle, our BCE Senior Leaders School Progress and Performance, to our school earlier in the week. Their school visits provide opportunities for our leadership team to discuss our school priorities, celebrate our successes and identify areas that are emerging as opportunities for growth.
‘Learning Walks’ are always a highlight of the visits, with our teachers and students showcasing the quality learning and teaching that happens each day. Anne provided positive feedback to our team around the consistency of literacy routines and practices from Prep – Year 6, the engagement of our students and the expertise of our teaching teams, including the proficiencies of our school officers. Our ‘Learning Loop’ cycle of learning intentions, success criteria and feedback, within explicit practices and flexible groupings was highlighted as an embedded practice supporting student progress and achievement.
