Parent Bootcamp: ALI Program

The parent bootcamps to support the Years 4 -6 ALI (1:1 Assigned Learning iPad) program are fast approaching with our students to commence their bootcamp sessions in weeks 3 & 4.

Who attends parent bootcamp?

  • All Parent/s of students in year 4 (even if you have had an older child in the ALI program)
  • Parent/s of students in years 5 and/or 6 who are new to SOTS in 2020 (Parents of returning students in years 5 and 6 do not need to attend)

When are the parent bootcamps?

A choice of three sessions are offered ​on Wed 19/2 and Thurs 20/2 (Week 4) as below:

  • Wed: 19/2/2020 at 6pm
  • Thurs: 20/2/2020 at 9am & 6pm
  • Parents only need to attend one session

To support preparations for the session, you are asked to RSVP to the bootcamp session that you are attending by Friday 14 February 2020 via the forms link below:


  • Attendance by at least one parent, at one of the bootcamp sessions, is essential and is a mandatory component of the ALI program.
  • Please note that students are not required to attend the parent bootcamp sessions.

What is parent bootcamp?

Parent bootcamp is:

  • an opportunity to create a shared understanding of the rights, responsibilities and obligations of students, parents and school in regard to the ALI program
  • a mandatory component of the ALI program
  • ​an opportunity to overview the policy and guidelines documents, and sign acceptance, user agreements/consents.

All the documentation will be provided on the day and I invite you review the documentation re the ALI program that is available via the Parent Portal.
