Star of the Sea Spirit Day

On Thursday our school community came together to acknowledge and celebrate our Marian Charism with our Star of the Sea Spirit Day.

This was an opportunity for our student community to come together to thank God for our school and everyone who makes it a special place to be a part of, and also to celebrate the life of Mary, the Mother of Jesus and our Patron Saint.

We started the day with our final Fun Run for the year before the day activities began. Our students participated in Marian theme activities. These activities included:

  • Sport games – Tunnel Ball, Leaderball, Zig Zag, Over and Under
  • Sea Craft Project
  • Mary Craft Project
  • Yoga/Meditation
  • Dance – Happy Song
  • Music -Song of Mary

Our Year 6 students helped our younger year levels to complete each activity and at the end of the day all year levels gathered in the O’Dea to sing our Mary song and dance to HAPPY as a whole school. It was lovely to see parents also join us for the conclusion to our Spirit Day celebrations in the O’Dea.
