Supporting Home Internet Safety & Security

At Star of the Sea School, our students engage in learning activities that teach them the rights and responsibilities of interacting in a digital world. In 2019, student and parent bootcamps were introduced as part of the one-to-one iPad program (ALI) in years 4-6. These bootcamps were a great success in developing shared understandings around topics including responsible use and expectations for home and school devices, digital citizenship, safety, security at home and school, cyberbullying.

As all home internet systems and family needs are different, David Curtis has offered to facilitate a parent session at our school in the STEM Lab on Wednesday, 18 September 2019 from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.  This session aims to offer some practical strategies and considerations around home internet safety and security.
