"Our Daughter started Prep at the start of this year at Star of the Sea Primary. She is currently undergoing treatment for B-Cell Leukemia. We had a lot of concerns when she started Prep around the care and understanding she would get while she was navigating her first year of school as well as undergoing rounds of Chemotherapy.
We have been amazed by the care, support and compassion she has received not only from the teachers and staff at the school by also by the families and entire school community. Every single teacher and staff member know her by her name and make the time and effort to check in with her and have all built a repour with her based on trust and care. Families we have just met have become her biggest supporters and have gone above and beyond to not only support her but also us as parents.
We chose a small school based on her needs and learning capabilities and we have not regretted our decision once. This is a school built on the values of a family unit, catholic principles and a village where every child is treated with respect and compassion. We absolutely love everything about this community and cannot recommend the school enough.
We as parents have full confidence in the staff at this school and we truly appreciate everything they have done for our daughter and for us a family.
This is far more than a school; it is a village."

"My children and I absolutely love Star of the Sea School. My children receive so much support, encouragement and motivation from the school community. All the teachers are incredibly supportive, understanding and approachable. They take the time to listen to the children, encourage them to do their best, and help them build confidence.
I am truly grateful for the care, dedication and positive environment the teachers provide. It means so much to see my children feeling supported, encouraged and happy at school. Thank you to all the wonderful teachers and staff for everything you do!"

"Our experience at Star of the Sea has been incredibly positive. Mrs Henderson has been absolutely phenomenal, and her genuine care, dedication and commitment to her students are truly first class.
The school's focus on developing the whole child is evident, with equal importance placed on academic learning and social and emotional growth. Our daughter has developed wonderful friendships, grown in confidence and continues to build the skills and strategies needed to navigate the challenges of growing up and becoming more independent.
It is wonderful to see her thriving in such a caring, supportive and nurturing school community."

"I just wanted to share how beautifully Hope has been welcomed into Year 1 at Star of the Sea. From the very beginning, the warmth of the staff, pupils and parents has been amazing.
I always feel welcome at drop-off, no question ever feels like too much trouble, and Hope’s medical condition has been supported with such care and understanding.
Hope is given exactly the right balance of nurture, encouragement and independence, and the whole school has such a genuinely caring, holistic feel.
Zachary (Hope's big brother) loves coming with me to collect her from after-school because he likes to have a nosy and it's also lovely and calm. That feeling seems to flow from the school. It is exactly what we had hoped for in a school, and we feel incredibly grateful for that."
